Job Description

For a leading producer of specialty chemicals and polymers we are looking for a motivated researcher! The products have a broad range of applications, so many techniques come into play when studying them. The main focus is on chromatography and spectroscopy, but you can also work with other instumental, analytical or wetchemical analyses. As Research analyst you will perform various analytical assays in the context of pilot plant studies. The R&D department supports pilot plant activities by troubleshooting, method development and sample analysis.

Responsibilities

Performing analytical assays such as: chromatography & spectrometry;
Writing analytical reports;
Method development;
Organization ans shipment of samples for outsourcing activities;
Assist with analytical questions and general laboratory tasks;

Requirements

BSc or MSc in (Analytical) Chemistry;
Work experience with GC-MS, LC-MS and spectroscopy (NMR, UV-VIS, FTIR, etc.);
Solid understanding of chemistry and chemical products (mainly polymers);
Good oral and written communication skills in English (must) and Dutch (preferred);
Available on short notice;
Due to the location a driving licence and car are necessary;
