About the job
The Controlling department at MediaMarkt Benelux consists of four teams: Financial Controlling, Commercial Controlling, Operational Controlling, and Procurement Controlling.We are looking for a Financial Controller to join our
Financial Controlling team
. This team serves as the key point of contact for all financial matters within the organization, providing insights into the financial performance of the Benelux region and managing the planning and control cycle.
In this role, you will work with large datasets, help automate processes, assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, and play an active role in the month-end closing process by delivering accurate financial data. Furthermore you:
- Analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Propose and implement solutions to automate recurring tasks and improve efficiency.
- Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts throughout the year.
- Provide accurate data and analyses during the month-end closing process.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth reporting and alignment on financial goals.
- Support ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as needed.
Your Profile
You are someone with a solid understanding of finance and data analysis who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You don’t need extensive experience, but you should be comfortable working with numbers and have a proactive mindset.What You Bring
Education:
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.Skills:
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with working on large datasets using Excel and other tools such as Power BI, Power Query etc.Interest:
A curiosity about process automation and financial systems; prior exposure to ERP systems like SAP is a plus.Experience:
While prior experience in finance or controlling is beneficial, it’s not required—your motivation and adaptability are what matter most.Communication:
Fluent in English with the ability to present financial data clearly.What's in it for you?
