PUM is very motivated to contribute to stability in Armenia through entrepreneurship in the coming years. Our focus will be on promoting entrepreneurship, enhancing employability, and facilitating the integration of displaced people from Nagorno-Karabakh. Over the next three years, PUM will concentrate on collaborating with SMEs owned by Nagorno-Karabakh people and SMEs that have specific policies aimed at integrating Nagorno-Karabakh people. Additionally, we will partner with Armenian initiatives such as NGOs and associations that share the same goals.

Who are you?
You are an authentic, resilient, humble and dynamic professional with an in-depth understanding of the
culture and customs in Armenia.
You are eager to navigate diverse development opportunities within Armenia.
You have proven experience in building and managing international, commercial teams.
You have strong intercultural sensitivity.
You have excellent command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
You are comfortable with digital tools, including Microsoft Office 365.
Being a PUM Country Coordinator
As a staff volunteer at PUM, your role as a country coordinator is pivotal. You’re not merely coordinating; you’re orchestrating positive change. By implementing PUM’s strategy in Armenia, you spearhead impactful projects that contribute to sustainable growth in SMEs. What being a country coordinator will look like? You’ll be actively engaged with PUM, averaging two to three days a week, often spread across multiple days. This includes regularly checking and responding to emails, addressing any urgent matters that may arise. Your responsibilities include:
Implementing PUM’s strategy and policies in Armenia.
Crafting and executing the Country Impact Plan for Armenia.
Providing guidance and leadership to your country team.
Building and managing an effective team of representatives in your region.
Cultivating fruitful relationships with PUM clients and networking with external stakeholders to fortify
ecosystems around PUM clients.
Ensuring strong working relationships with sectors, other PUM countries, and internal PUM departments.
In this specific country you are also responsible for managing the subsidy relationship with the Dutch
Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This includes monitoring, evaluation and financial and activity reporting.
Ins and outs of the Country Coordinator role
The country coordinator role is a volunteer position with a small expense allowance. This position requires a 3-year commitment, as PUM will be active in Armenia until the end of the year 2026. Prescreening is part of the selection process. Anticipate traveling to Armenia two to three times a year. At PUM, we celebrate diversity and inclusion as essential pillars of our organization.
