EMC Competence Lead

You’d better contact us today!Role and responsibilitiesAs EMC Competence Lead, you’ll define competence standards including decomposition of EMC requirements and design guidelines for ASML’s hardware design teams. You’ll create and deploy EMC qualification processes and EMC knowledge, define analysis and test strategies for ASML’s complex lithography systems. You’ll be responsible for the EMC competence roadmap, competence targets and for promoting the team to further grow the EMC competence at ASML. As EMC Competence Lead, you’ll: Create, maintain and train competence standards (GID) including EMC decomposition and design rules for internal stakeholdersCreate and maintain competence way of working including system qualification strategy, compliance processes, test methodologies and best practices to ensure EMC compliance of ASML products.Implement operational feedback and technical lessons learned in competence standards and proceduresDrive timely technical implementation choices within the competence scopeCreate and enrich EMC technical knowledge and share knowledge within ASML communities by means of documentation and trainingDrive commonality by re-use of common elements (standardized tests and procedures, ways of working)Perform competence related feasibility studies to address competence and technology gaps in product developmentDevelop and maintain competence roadmap and competence maturity framework (CMI assessment)Define competence targets, pro-actively align plan with other stakeholders and the competence members and act as program manager during execution of targetsBuild internal and external EMC knowledge networkOwn competence sharepoint siteStay up to date on EMC developments in technology and technology trendsTrack changes in EMC legislation, directives, standards and conformity assessment methodologiesBe the contact person for questions related to the owned competenceParticipate in reviews of the key (competency related) doc's and of other critical deliveries within projectsEnsure technical quality of competence team deliverablesAct as a coach for engineers on competence related matters (technical content and WoW)Drive identification and implementation of competence related improvement opportunitiesDefine training curriculum towards competence team and competence training material towards architects, integrators and designersEnsure that the competence representatives are defined and known within D&EKeep activated competence team via competence meetings and meetings with competence mirrorsEnsure an escalation mechanism for non-compliancy’s is in place and usedEducation and experienceBachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.10+ years of experience in the field of design for EMC and/or EMC consultancy (preferably for large systems)Knowledge and experience in EMC testing and troubleshootingUp to date on EMC legislation, regulations, directives, standards, testing and measurement techniquesIn-depth knowledge of EMC testing and measurement techniques, design for EMC methodologyMultiple years of experience in electronics and/or electromechanical designsWriting of technical documentationFamiliar with electrical safety basicsWorking in multidisciplinary and preferably international environmentBasic knowledge of software, physics and mechatronics.SkillsWorking at the forefront of technology, you’ll always have new challenges and new problems to solve.
