Junior Commercial Manager - Onshore Wind

Job Description Vattenfall is now looking for the high potential to join our Onshore Operations Team as a Junior Commercial Manager on a fixed term contract for The Netherlands. You will work within our country team supporting the Commercial Managers and also work alongside the country Operations & Maintenance (O&M) teams who are responsible for safely operating and maintaining Vattenfall’s onshore renewable energy assets. The Onshore Commercial Managers look after all commercial aspects of Vattenfall’s onshore windfarms, which are situated in the UK, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark. The country Commercial Managers work together as a Virtual Empowered Team (VET) and you will have an important cross-country role within the Commercial VET, supporting the resolution of commercial issues, including analytical and administrative support to maintain commercial and operational performance. This is a one year fixed term contract and offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to develop experience working in the Renewable Energy industry. Previous successful candidates have gone on to secure further opportunities within Vattenfall.   Your role / what will you do?  You will support the commercial management of Vattenfall’s onshore wind farms in line with Vattenfall Group strategy, policy and procedures. In your role you ensure information in contract and commitment management platforms are maintained and updated as required. You’ll manage contract files, commercial logs, and lower-value procurements. You’ll support tenders, handle framework agreements, and prepare contract amendments. Additionally, you’ll be the key contact for internal recharge processes for hybrid sites and administer quarterly reporting for the Commercial Virtual Empowered Team. Provide pro-active support to commercial managers and country operations teams as and when required, Day to day commercial management of contracts, variations and claims relating to contractors providing service to onshore wind farms; Contribute to the commercial input of warranty projects; Commercial-technical cross over topics; Transition of developing projects from the construction phase into Operations; Stakeholder relationships both internal and external Cross country and central projects as required Supporting the Commercial Team with stakeholder relationships Location   Amsterdam Qualifications You have recently graduated with a degree  in Business, Economics, Finance, Legal, or similar from The Netherlands and speak and read Dutch fluently. Furthermore you will bring the following behavioural competencies Good team player, with the ability to influence over a wide network of co-worker relationships and work in multicultural teams Some demonstrable experience and interest in renewable energy is a major plus Great communication skills both verbally and in writing Be results-oriented, able to meet tight deadlines and produce concise information Self starter with the ability to work with minimum supervision and take the initiative Being willing to travel to the various countries in which Vattenfall has onshore wind turbines A proactive approach to Health, Safety, Security and the Environment Willingness to take on ad hoc work tasks and assist the team where needed Additional Information Our offer  Good remuneration, a challenging and international work environment, and the possibility to work with some of the best in the field.
