Your contribution to TenneT

In our Asset Management Platform, HVDC & Auxiliary Power team we have a unique and challenging job opening of HVDC Expert for Asset Technology. In this position you will work together with other experts who are responsible for our Offshore and Onshore HVDC Systems from Asset Technology perspective. In this challenging environment you will be part of a team of 15 professional Experts and Advisors. We focus on a strong cooperation and make a major contribution to the energy transition.

Together with the HVDC Experts, you will;

• Develop, update and continuously improve technical specifications for HVDC systems. You will be owner of the specifications;
• Prepare the tender documents, evaluate of bid documents and support during technical negotiations;
• Act as expert and actively contribute as knowledge carrier;
• Support the projects during project execution with expert knowledge (technical clarification and evaluation of technical concepts, FAT’s, etc.);
• Monitor the market and innovation management for HVDC systems;
• Support the responsible specialist areas of operations and projects in solving technical problems that involve a high degree of technical; complexity and whose solution requires special and in-depth expertise;
• Define and promote best practice in all life cycle phases of an HVDC System.

Your profile and background

• Master degree in the field of power engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent;
• Several years of experience in the field of HVDC-Technology would be an advantage;
• Independent, self-reliant and structured handling of conceptual tasks with an interdisciplinary background;
• Flexibility and ability to work in a team;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English.
