Lead Engineer Fixed Offshore Structures

, you will be at the forefront of offshore engineering, leading a team of highly skilled structural engineers. You will be responsible for managing project timelines, ensuring technical excellence, and acting as a trusted consultant to clients. You will drive conceptual, basic, and detailed designs for offshore transformer platforms, oil & gas production platforms, wind turbine foundations (jackets, monopiles, and gravity-based foundations), transition pieces, piling templates, and topsides.What You Will Do:
- Lead & Develop – Oversee and mentor a team of structural engineers, ensuring professional growth and high-quality deliverables.
- Design & Analysis – Perform advanced structural analyses including: In-place analysis (ULS, FLS, SLS, ALS), Pre-service analysis (Load-out, Transport, Lifting), Detailed connection design (Bolted, Welded, Grouted) and Assessment of vortex-induced vibrations & wave slamming.
- Technical Leadership – Take charge in concept, basic, and detailed design phases for offshore structures.
- Client & Project Management – Act as a technical consultant, advising clients and working closely with project managers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Compliance & Standards – Ensure designs align with DNV, ISO, and EC standards.
- Software Proficiency – Utilize SACS, Ansys, Femap, Usfos, and Grlweap to conduct structural analyses.
- Problem-Solving Mindset – Bring a proactive and innovative approach to complex engineering challenges.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in structural engineering within offshore wind & oil & gas industries.
- 3+ years in a leadership or similar senior engineering role.
- Proven expertise in offshore structural analysis and engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in SACS and experience with Ansys, Femap, Usfos, or Grlweap.
- Strong knowledge of DNV, ISO, and EC industry standards.
- Excellent communication skills in English (Dutch is a plus).
- A team player who enjoys solving problems and driving innovation.
