or the temporary replacement of a colleague who has been enrolled into the university counsel, we are looking for an academic at the start of their career, who will be contributing to our Forensic and Legal Psychology master programme. You will be participating in teaching in the international Master´s degree programme in Psychology in the domains relevant to Forensic and Legal Psychology. Teaching involves (large-scale) lectures, and individual supervision of research internships, along with more general tasks of coordination and administration.
The core tasks include:
- participating in teaching forensic and legal psychology at Master level (lectures, thesis supervision).
We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague (m/f/x) who:
- has a master degree in a relevant area such as forensic, legal, or experimental psychology;
- preferably has a PhD in a relevant area.
- has experience with teaching in academia;
- has an eye for innovation in teaching methods and is prepared to contribute to the optimization of the quality of teaching;
- has scientific creativity and productivity, as shown by recent peer-reviewed publications;
- has excellent social skills and is a team player.
An internationally oriented and varied job in an enthusiastic team, with good working conditions in accordance with the Collective Labor Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU).
The start date of this position is ASAP (to be agreed upon) and you will be based at Erasmus School of Social and Behavioural Sciences in Rotterdam. The successful candidate will be offered a part-time, one year contract with Erasmus University Rotterdam. This contract can, in case of positive assessment and unchanged organizational circumstances, be turned into a fixed employment contract. In accordance with the conditions applied at Erasmus University Rotterdam as indicated in the Collective Labour Agreement (CAO NU) of the Dutch universities, the salary is dependent on the candidate’s experience and is set at a maximum of CAO NU scale 10 with a minimum of €2846,- and a maximum of €4490,- gross per month, on a fulltime basis. In addition, EUR pays an 8% holiday allowance and an end-of-year payment of 8.3% and offers excellent secondary benefits, and a very generous leave scheme. Furthermore, EUR is affiliated with ABP for the pension provision and we offer partially paid parental leave, fully paid extended birth leave for partners, a personal education budget, work-life balance coaches and more. Employees can also use EUR facilities, such as the Erasmus sports center and the University library.
