Job description
For this modern company, where new food products are invented, developed and manufactured, we are looking for a Technician HTS to assist in the optimization of the yeast strains used in production. Your work will be used downstream for further product optimization and increased yield. In your role as a technician in the team you will be using high-throughput-screening (HTS) techniques and liquid handling robots to screen for improved strain performance in projects. By using HTS screening techniques, you will prepare and perform experiments independently. This will be in collaboration with members of various project teams that have expertise outside of automation and robots.Responsibilities
- Perform, interpret, analyze and report the results of the experiments performed
- Take care of the laboratory equipment that used, including low-level maintenance
- Keep up with developments in the field of expertise and contribute to the professional know-how of the team.
- Process monitoring, adjusting parameters, etc.
- Documenting data and processing in reports (in English)
- Collaborating with lab assistants, technicians and scientists
Requirements
- Completed HLO education in biotechnology, food technology or molecular biology
- (Internship) Experience with molecular biology.
- Experience working with automation (TECAN for example) is considered a big plus
- You are handy and enjoy working in a technical laboratory
- You are available for at least 32 hours, preferably fulltime
- Teamwork, quality and clear communication are important to you
- A good command of the English language, Dutch is considered a plus.

- Employment contract: 1 year, with a great chance for the long term
- Salary indication: from €2600 - €3000
- Working hours: 40 hours per week, minimum 32 hours
