Mechanical Design Engineer
From locations in the Netherlands (Rotterdam) and the United Arab Emirates, Dredge Yard designs, builds and supplies easy-to-operate dredgers. Dredge Yard focuses on smart designs for optimized dredgers that are efficient and safe for people and the environment. They use the latest technologies in design, simulation and manufacturing to continuously develop optimally functioning dredgers. Their focus is on easy to transport cutter suction dredgers and environmentally friendly auger dredgers that fit in containers.
Responsibilities
Work on dredge designs conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering.Write specifications and technical reports.
Advise on technical matters in projects.
Technical support project management, suppliers, and client.
Coordinate with a project team of engineers.
Interact and co-work with other engineering disciplines, production, project team, and partner yards
Requirements
Bachelor in engineering or equivalent.More than 3 years of experience as a Design Engineer.
Experience in designing dredgers or dredging equipment is an advantage.
Well-versed in Engineering Software systems such as Inventor or similar.
Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent command of English, both spoken and written.
