Financial Accountant - Walters People

Our client is one of the world's leading companies within the industrial industry. In the role of financial accountant you join the Accounting and Reporting team in the Netherlands. As a financial accountant you are responsible for accounting and reporting activities for more than 40 companies of the group worldwide.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- To create and maintain the vendors/debtors master files thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with the company's policy and generally accepted accounting practices
- To review all invoices for appropriate characteristics and documentation prior to recording them in the system
- To record all approved invoices as directed and/or as specified by the procedures/policies of the company
- To issue sales invoices containing required characteristics and based on approved sales order and/or other internal appropriate documents/authorisations
- To process payments from the debtors
- To research and apply unallocated cash
- To keep track of all approved invoices in order to ensure that they are paid within the specified period
- To review all invoices for appropriate characteristics, documentation and required authorisation prior to payment
- To organise and maintain up to date financial records and to ensure that all transactions are backed up by adequate underlying documentation
- To prepare and review reconciliations timely, accurately, and in compliance with company guidelines and other applicable accounting standards
- To assist with month end closing to ensure accurate and complete records as well as to provıde analyses of assigned accounts and various reporting schedules
- To assist with the audit of the company and drawing financial statements
Skills and Education:
- Solid skills in financial accounting (GL accounting, month close, reporting, consolidation, annual reports)
- Fluent in English and a good level of Dutch is required
- Good knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS or similar)
- Knowledge of statutory reporting
- Ability to review important documents and evaluate them on their accounting treatment
- Good understanding of processes and procedures
- Organised and able to work independently (we are currently a small team that will grow but that still has to set up lots of processes)
- Outcome oriented: result of the task + relationship with stakeholders
- Ability to communicate with internal/ external stakeholders
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Accounting/Controlling or similar
Offer
:- Monthly salary between 3400,- and 4100,- per month
- A partime/fulltime position for 32/40 hours a week
