Next Ocean is the pioneering developer of
Vessel Motion Radar
technology. This innovative system uses radar images as prime input to predict ship motions in all degrees of freedom, providing mariners with a clear timeline of what is coming their way. Whether in rough seas, rain, or fog, our system empowers crews to anticipate dangerous motions up to three minutes in advance - day and night.

Between 2021 and 2024, the system demonstrated its effectiveness across multiple markets and a range of use cases. Clients have reported savings equivalent to multiple additional operational days per year, alongside significant safety improvements. The system’s ability to prevent countless potential accidents has made it an indispensable tool for safer and more efficient maritime operations.

Position overview

As a Sales Engineer, you will join our commercial team and work together with our CEO, Commercial Director and our Business Developer to make it happen. Your key responsibilities include:

Engaging with prospects

: Introduce our product, explore use cases, and discuss how it can address client needs - whether at conferences, exhibitions, or online meetings.

Driving sales

: Follow up with prospects, guide them through the sales funnel, and maintain accurate data using our CRM system (HubSpot).

Negotiating and closing deals

: Draft compelling quotations and navigate negotiations around price, terms, and conditions.

Representing Next Ocean

: Attend international conferences and exhibitions as the face of our company.

Collaborating with the team

: Work closely with our development and operations teams achieve the sales targets.

What we need

• Fluent in

English

and proficiency in at least one of the languages: Dutch, Norwegian, German, Spanish or French.
