What does your role as a UI/UX Developer look like?

As a UI/UX Developer, you are the link between design and technology. You develop user-friendly, interactive and future-proof applications and create surprising digital experiences that seamlessly meet the needs of end users. You do this by:

Turn concepts into working solutions:

Work with designers to translate ideas and wireframes into proof-of-concepts and full-fledged applications.

Integrating hardware, software and engineering:

You will ensure that the front-end works seamlessly with systems such as Intuiface, APIs and external hardware.

Technical feasibility testing:

You help think about technical preconditions, planning and required resources. In addition, you test solutions.

Knowledge development and sharing:

You stay abreast of the latest developments in (web) technology and UX and share relevant insights with your colleagues.

Maintain and optimize existing projects:

You will improve the performance, usability and code quality of existing applications.

3rd-line support:

You will assist with service and support calls as needed.

It’s all about (your) experience

You are a technical talent who switches effortlessly between Team Programming and Content Creation. You are also a point of contact for strategists and project managers and have no problem sitting at the client’s table if necessary.

Must-haves:

Front-end programming experience:

You have experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and possibly frameworks such as Vue, Nuxt, React or Angular.

Experience or affinity with Intuiface:

You know how to optimally deploy and link Intuiface to (web) technologies.

Version control and tooling:

you are familiar with Git, package managers and tools such as Electron, Adobe XD / Photoshop.

Results-oriented:

You know how to achieve goals and adjust when necessary.

Problem solving skills:

You recognize technical challenges and come up with efficient solutions.

Analytical thinking:

You can separate main and secondary issues and quickly get to the heart of technical challenges.

Empathy:

You understand end-user needs and translate them into practical, intuitive interfaces.
