PSI-Europe is seeking a highly motivated Administration, Finance & Support officer (AFS officer) for our organization and for a new project.

The new project, the Sang Pour Sang Project, will be implemented by a consortium of four international NGOs in nine countries across three regions. This project offers a unique opportunity to decolonize international cooperation and put power in the hands of local feminist groups and social enterprises.

Supervisory Relationship

The AFS officer supports administration and finance & support activities for PSI-Europe as a whole and for the Sang Pour Sang Project specifically. The AFS officer will report to the different key-staff members of the project (Social Enterprise Support Manager (SESM) and the Project Coordinator (PC), depending on the activities for the Project and to the Managing Director and Director of Finance for activities for the Organization.

Key Responsibilities

General

  • Coordinate the travel and logistical arrangements for PSI/Europe staff.
  • Process reimbursement requests as well as credit card and trip expense reports.
  • Prepare payments.
  • Support HR Administration.
  • Oversee the collection and review of PSI-Europe employee timesheets if requested.
  • Manage the day-to-day administrative and business affairs of the Amsterdam office.
  • Assist with financial administration and assist with internal and external financial audits if requested.
  • Support with arrangements for various events like Board Meetings.
  • Minute Taker during (Board) Meetings if requested.
  • Fulfil other office and administrative and financial duties as requested by the Managing Director and Director of Finance.

Project

  • Assist the Social Enterprise Support Manager (SESM) and Project Coordinator (PD) in fulfilling all donor reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Project team with all reports.
  • Assist the SESM with the project administration/ grant-making of the project.
  • Assist the Project team with program and financial management assistance to ensure alignment with donor reporting requirements and internal requirements in coordination with PSI-Europe’s Managing Director and Director of Finance.
  • Prepare payments for the Project.
  • Support with the arrangement of events.
  • Fulfil other tasks as required in support of the project as requested by the SESM / PC in coordination with the Managing Director and Director of Finance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Relevant study related to Administration and Finance.
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant experience in an administrative financial function.
  • Full professional proficiency in English, knowledge of French and Spanish a plus.
  • Proficiency in word processing and excel spreadsheet software essential.
  • Experience in Project Administration.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive and flexible. Hands-on attitude.
  • Good sense of humour and comfortable working in cross-cultural contexts.
  • Highly self-motivated and able to work independently and remotely without colleagues present in the same office.
  • The candidate should be a Dutch citizen or have the right to work in the Netherlands.

This position is initially for 12 months and can be extended on performance and availability of project funding. A competitive remuneration based upon your experience, qualifications and skills. The position is part-time (ca. 0,4 fte), depending on your experience.
