Retail Operations Consultant

Your role in our team As a member of our team, your typical day will be packed with a diverse range of activities, including:•Implementations of retail POS implementations, covering business guidance, configuration, training and testing. •Project management with diverse stakeholder groups (Retail, Ops, Tech, finance), using Confluence/Jira/Dev Ops (depending on client), to facilitate smooth communication and knowledge sharing across the organization.•Leading change requests and deliver detailed technical specifications, ensuring the timely delivery of new features and improvements•Partnering with POS vendors to sustain transparency and roadmap clarity. •Guiding and supporting our functional managers in the implementation of POS, Omni services & Ecomm to optimize operations and drive business growth•Collaborating closely with the business consulting and IT store operations team, sharing best practices and driving innovation•Configuring and testing system adjustments independently, ensuring that all systems are operating at all times•Creating clear and concise knowledge transfer documents and training guides for clientsHow you strengthen our team •You are seeking a role where you can make a significant impact on managing and maintaining POS implementations, then this opportunity is perfect for you.•You understand the importance of keeping systems up-to-date and innovative, and are driven to deliver the best possible solutions.•You thrive in an environment where your inquisitiveness, expertise, and intellect are challenged, and you can come up with creative solutions on your own.•you take pride in seeing new projects through from start to finish.•Responsibility motivates you, and you are energized by collaborating with enthusiastic and professional colleagues daily.What you'll need:•You hold at least a HBO degree in IT or a related field•You have at least 1-5 years of experience in retail, and preferably retail operations/system role. •Proactive, High command of communication (verbal and written)•You have a quick grasp combined with a structured, analytical and goal-oriented way of working•Have knowledge of agile software development methods (Scrum, Kanban) in a DevOps setting is a plus•Experience in the Retail sector is a plus;•Located in the Netherlands or EU and willing to relocate;•You're fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)Why CGI?
