As a
Lead Mechanical Engineer
, you will be working in the Innovation department, leading the
engineering and development of high-end equipment
for a diverse fleet of offshore vessels. You will
manage the team and the project
within the equipment development, from conception until testing and manufacturing. 

What you will do

• Leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers for

product/equipment development

• Being

responsible for the engineering & design

of equipment: vertical transport systems and mission equipment on board offshore vessels

• Developing the

full product cycle

from concept to fabrication, testing and operations

• Working together with colleagues of different disciplines like electrical, mechanical, software, etc. to come to a

harmonious design, testing new concepts, prototyping and solving manufacturing challenges

• Evaluating the design feasibility with

simulation software and 3D modelling

and reviewing the work of subcontractors

• Maintaining the helicopter view on the

project progress, planning, and risk assessment

What you already have

+5 years of experience

as a Mechanical Engineer in product development

• Good working knowledge of

2D and 3D modeling

software (Autocad, Inventor)

• You thrive in an

innovative work environment

since you will be involved in the development of challenging and one-of-a-kind products

• You enjoy working and

leading a team

of engineers

• Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multi-cultural team and with different stakeholders
• Available for full-time in The Hague area
• Experience in

working independently

, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities, and passion for innovation are huge assets
