Tennis Coach for American High SchoolIndia
This is an opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated Tennis Coach to grow the Tennis Academy at the school. Reporting to the Head of the Academy, you will create and develop a sports program that will include a competition schedule, Data analysis, and weight and conditioning schedule for the assigned sport.
Venue and Company description
This is an international residential High School with state-of-the-art sports infrastructure and one of the best in the region.The school offers the American Curriculum and is a groundbreaking venture that aims to change the landscape of education and sport in India.
Spread over 44 acres and located in Karjat in Maharashtra at a distance of about 95 km from both Pune and Mumbai the school boasts of a covered tennis court, football field, swimming pool, squash courts, and a track and field court. The school caters to both girls and boys.
The school has recently started a collaboration with TAISI – The Association of International Schools of India!
Job duties and responsibilities
Responsibilities include:
- Designing and developing a comprehensive sports program of the coach’s specialty.
- Developing and maintaining a written plan for the effective delivery of the school
- Communicating the goals of the school sports program to education stakeholders, students, parents, administrators, and teachers.
- Implementing developmentally appropriate sports activities to meet student needs and School goals in behavior management.
- Incorporating into student sports and career programs the life skills that students need to be successful in the twenty-first century.
- Assisting with the development of the student’s personal, social and academic, abilities individually or in groups.
Candidate qualifications and skills
Candidate Requirements
The candidate must have the following skillset:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent research and data analysis skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Must have a thorough working knowledge of computers and technology.
- Excellent knowledge of assessments and evaluation.
- At least 2+ years’ Coaching experience.
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Qualified through National/International Governing bodies in individual sports
