Our client is a global manufacturer of environmentally friendly and modern packaging solutions for drinks- and food industries, delivering top-quality primary packaging, on time and where needed. They have around 30 facilities and 9.000 employees worldwide. In the Netherlands they are located near Eindhoven with more then 500 employees. For this site we are searching for a Health Safety & Environment Officer.
Functieomschrijving
As HSE Officer you make sure that everyone adheres to and is informed about the Health and Safety standards in our organization. You are responsible for the coordination and cooperation with the contractors on site. You are leading and supporting key safety initiatives and programs. And you continuously improve and elevate the organizations HSE performance.You are part of the HSE department and your contributions will play a critical role in shaping the safety standards and practices. You report to the HSE Manager.
What will you do?
- You will do a Gemba walk and inspection on the shop-floor.
- You give a training or toolbox session to employees, so their HSE knowledge stays up to date.
- You will provide introductory training for our new colleagues and contractors.
- You will manage the permit-to-work process.
- You discuss the work of contractors with the responsible contact person.
- You check if all measurements are taken for contractors so they can do their work safely, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
- You invest an incident.
- You participate in high priority programs, such as LOTO, ERT, RI&E, etc.
- You brainstorm about innovative improvements to production processes, workplace organization and safety procedures.
- Most important: every day you will foster a safety culture across our operations.
Functie eisen
- MVK diploma
- At least 5 years of experience with HSE, with Risk Assessments, Hazard Identification, Incident Investigation, Safety Audits and Permit to Work Systems.
- Broad knowledge of environmental requirements and HSE legislation in the Netherlands.
- You are confident and self-sssured. You do not hesitate to advocate for safety and regulatory compliance, maintain professionalism and feel enthusiastic to start a conversation/discussion.
- You have strong interpersonal and analytical skills and are a good communicator.
- You have a good command of Dutch and English language.
