Summary

DEME Offshore is looking for Drafting Engineer on fixed basis to support Equipment Development & CAD Team. The day-to-day activities consist of various types of (e.g. Deck layouts, Storyboards, Rigging arrangements, etc.) drawings for DEME cable lay & rock placement operations, but extends regularly to design/fabrication drawings for vessel/project equipment in development.

The Drafting Engineer will need to assist internal departments at DEME Offshore with drafting support for project execution, tender, and improvements on existing equipment. He/She will collaborate with other engineers as well as tender, project and operational teams and prepare interdisciplinary drawings, as well as other supporting drafting works which are required.

This position is based at our DEME Offshore Office in Breda, The Netherlands.

Your profile
Our offer
Collaborate on engineering solutions for DEME equipment to exploit its efficiency for ongoing and upcoming activities;
Compose and draft interdisciplinary drawings related to offshore operations;
Compose and draft 3D layouts and 3D models for varying complexity assignments;
Support detailed engineering and fabrication drafting;
Support detailed operational drafting (e.g. Storyboards, Layouts, etc.);
Participate in R&D and engineering brainstorms;
Collaborate with teams on CAD improvements (e.g. libraries);
Maintain and organize own work;
Recognize potential engineering issues and report them.
Proficient in CAD programs such as AutoCAD 2D/3D, Inventor & Navisworks(and/or);
Preferably experienced in offshore installation works;
Familiar with relevant engineering disciplines and it’s challenges;
Open minded, out of the box thinker, with experience in concept engineering;
Communicative, problem solver, independent, self-sufficient with attention to detail;
Speak and write fluent English.
