Possibly the Moses and Aäron church is Amsterdam’s most famous church building. But how many people have seen it inside? On Thursday and Friday afternoons, the church is open to residents, passers-by and tourists. Would you like to help welcome them?

On Thursday and Friday afternoons, visitors can walk into the church between 12:00 and 16:00 for prayer, viewing, inspiration, rest, encouragement and encounters. Visitors will find a wealth of paintings, sculptures, ornaments and details from the last four centuries in the church. Very striking items are the impressive Baroque high altar with altarpiece by painter Jacob de Wit, the oak pulpit by Antwerp sculptor Jean Baptiste de Cuyper and the beautiful unique French-Romantic monumental organ built in 1871 by brothers Karel and Peter Adema from Leeuwarden.

Together with a colleague, you will ensure that visitors are received in a pleasant, hospitable and safe manner and are given information about the church building and the activities taking place there. You will meet people from all over the world. We are looking for volunteers for Thursdays and Fridays from 12 to 4pm.
