GRC Consultant Shopify

GRC Consultant (Shopify) - Remote - 6+ months contract

About the Role:

We are seeking a GRC Security Consultant to support our client with an enterprise project built on the Shopify technology stack. The consultant will ensure IT Policy Framework (ITPF) compliance, conduct security assessments, and guide the project team in meeting PMI security standards. This is a remote role, for candidates based in Europe or Middle East Europe, with potential workshop travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure ITPF compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Review high-level architecture and determine required security controls.
Conduct evidence-based infosec assessments, collecting and verifying documentation.
Prepare and support access model assessments and configuration reviews.
Evaluate resilience, disaster recovery, and backup/restore documentation for compliance.
Act as a Security SME, advising the project team on risk and compliance matters.
Present and defend security assessment results to the Security Manager.
Map ITPF self-assessment controls to existing project documentation.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in GRC, cybersecurity compliance, and risk management.

Familiarity with Shopify technology stack and integrated applications.
Expertise in IT security frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.).
Ability to conduct security reviews, gap analysis, and remediation planning.
Experience in evidence-based compliance assessments.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
