For our client we are urgently looking for a Materials Handling Engineer who has a mining or metals background with specific knowledge of conveying systems. The project duration is at least one year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of data sheets and material requisitions for inquiry and purchase
• Preparation & review of technical evaluations of supplier bids
• Review of supplier drawings & documents
• Attend supplier meetings & resolve issues related to manufacturing
• Coordinate / interface with engineering disciplines process, piping, electrical, control systems and civil for equipment & facility design as well as with clients
• Plan the execution of the work, track progress & report to the mechanical Lead Engineer

Basic Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in the mining/metals industry
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering

Other Job Requirements:

• Fluent in English
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel
