For our international client, a specialised chemical ship owning and chartering company, we are looking for a
(technical) SUPERINTENDENT
to reinforce the team, based in Rotterdam.
About the Role

:
We are looking for an experienced Superintendent to join a close-knit team, specializing in the management of chemical and gas tankers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the vessels are maintained in excellent condition, enabling them to operate efficiently on a global scale. This position offers the chance to oversee the operations of multiple vessels while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Tasks & Responsibilities

:
Manage the operational performance of 3 to 4 tankers.
Oversee docking and maintenance schedules, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
Collaborate with technical teams to address any operational issues and implement solutions.
Develop and manage budgets for vessel operations.
Serve as the primary point of contact for vessel crews and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations.
Requirements

:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar role within the maritime industry
.
Strong background in chemical tankers and/or small LPG vessels
.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Ability to travel as required for vessel visits and dockings.
