API Architect - Netherlands - Start ASAP - 12 months - Microservices/API

API Lead - Integration Architect
Next Ventures seek an experienced API Architect to help deliver a key project in the Netherlands onsite. You will be a good communicator and have a keen eye for detail.

This is a long term contract with extension planned.
The API Integration Architect works with DevOps teams and management to ensure that new or changed applications are implemented according to the rules and regulations that are set upon by the bank and external regulators.

Basically you will be the go to person on creating APIs for the Grids and will implement the API Lead Circle model. You will work closely with our own EIT teams, API Leads within the Grids, PO’s, architects and IT/Business leads to secure the quality, speed, and scalability of our API landscape. You will manage a central API Circle for the API leads and will support them with training, coaching, educating and by implementing a community where they can ask or answer questions.

 

With the following results (SMART) results

• API Lead Circle structurally implemented and maintained in an efficient way.
• All API Leads of the Grids are trained and educated. Process created and implemented on how-to achieve this for new API Leads.
• API Community build and maintained (per Grid and bankwide) in an efficient way to support and coach the API Leads of the Grids.
• Positive feedback from stakeholders on the value of the API Lead Circle.
• Regular reporting on progress of the API Leads implemented.

Relevant knowledge and expertise

• Experience in data, application and integration architecture.
• Experience in API development, knowledge sharing, teaching and coaching.
• Experience with Domain driven design, resource modelling and business analysis.
• Experience in knowledge sharing, teaching, coaching and consultancy with strong skills in persuasion and communication.
• Expertise in Open API specification standards, API design principles, REST, YAML, XML, WSDL, UML.
• Senior development skills in the modern programming languages and knowledge of security patterns for APIs e.g. OAuth 2.0, JWT, etc.

Tooling experience: Bitbucket, Sparx Enterprise Architect, Swagger, Postman.
