The sun is free, however, the rest costs money. That’s why it’s very important to know that your solar installation is doing what it’s supposed to do. Generate electricity. And a lot. The only issue is that it’s not easy to test this. Unfortunately, the sun doesn’t work on command. So, how do you actually test a solar installation? How can you be sure what the ROI is of your solar installation?

This company has the solution. With the help of unique technology, they have recently become the market leader in testing solar panels. They offer certainty to companies when investing in solar panels. And the business is booming. That’s why they need your help.

What will I be doing here?

As a Java Engineer Solar, you will develop software that controls high-precision solar simulators, used by the world’s largest solar panel manufacturers and leading R&D labs. Your code ensures that every solar panel tested meets the highest quality standards, directly contributing to the renewable energy transition. Your work goes beyond writing software—you build systems that interact with real-world hardware. Since everything is manufactured and tested in-house, you can walk into the factory, test your latest developments on actual solar simulators, and receive instant feedback. Your impact is immediate, and your solutions are used on a global scale.

This is a full-stack engineering role, where you work on hardware control, data acquisition, back-end integration, and UI development. You will play a key role in refining data processing, logging systems, and automation, ensuring the highest level of performance and accuracy. You will also interact with international customers, understanding their requirements and continuously improving user experience. If you’re interested, there’s even the possibility to travel abroad to work directly with clients.

Sounds great! But am I the right candidate?

You have a BSc in Computer Science or a related field and at least 8 years of experience in software development, ideally in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Java and Spring Boot are your core strengths, and you use them to build robust data integration and automation solutions. You understand how SQL databases and logging systems work to efficiently store and process large amounts of test data. Experience with Angular UI development or Python-based web applications is a plus, as is knowledge of PLC programming or AWS for cloud-based reporting.

Beyond coding, you are hands-on and innovative. You thrive in a collaborative team, enjoy solving complex challenges, and feel comfortable working with both software and hardware components. You are structured, detail-oriented, and eager to explore new technologies that improve the efficiency and accuracy of solar testing systems.

Do they pay well?

Hard work pays off. That’s why you will start with a good salary. You can earn up to €6.250 gross a month plus holiday allowance, a performance-based annual bonus and a solid pension plan with extra security modules. Enjoy 25 vacation days (with the option to buy more), full travel reimbursement, and a free daily lunch with your colleagues. Nevertheless, you will contribute to a clean and better climate for everyone. So, what are you waiting for? Apply now and we speak to you soon!
