Legal

This role is a key part of Essential Home’s Legal Innovation & Sustainability team, providing support to Essential Home CDO organizations and associated global functions, including the R&D and Regulatory teams.

Your responsibilities

In summary, you'll:

• Collaborate with both legal and non-legal colleagues and stakeholders as a business partner.
• Provide legal advice and support to Reckitt’s Essential Home business regarding global product innovation and marketing activities.
• Support the Global Research and Development teams with commercial contracts necessary for product innovation, including Confidentiality, Supply, and Development agreements.
• Assist with potential contractual disputes, competitor challenges, and litigious matters; coordinate and track such matters across IMEX organizations and share insights.
• Advise the Global Marketing teams on product claims, strategies, and consumer law issues, including sustainability perspectives; ensure a consistent approach and tracking between brands and categories.
• Work closely with in-house patent and trademark specialists.
• Collaborate with legal colleagues globally to ensure a consistent legal approach through training and optimization of legal processes.

The experience we're looking for

• Hold a law degree and a license to practice law in one of Essential Home’s markets (Americas and EUANZ).
• Fluent in English, organized, and comfortable working in an international, multicultural environment.
• Experience in commercial contract negotiation and drafting.
• Knowledge of Marketing and Advertising Law.
• Experience working in an in-country market executional role.
• Experience working with R&D, Quality and Regulatory departments and supporting innovation cycle of a range of consumer product categories.

Additional Information

This role is not category or brand-specific; product and brand support will be assigned as required by the business and the team. This role reports to the Head of Legal CDO & Sustainability, Essential Home. The Legal Counsel may be required to support other activities within the team’s scope, such as activities related to Intellectual Property, Sustainability and others. Essential Home is a lean organization and being open to support on additional topics is needed.
