Senior Dynamics Engineer

For our client we are looking for a Senior Dynamics Engineer to further strengthen a dynamics team.

Your Role

As a Senior Dynamics Engineer, you will join an enthusiastic, multidisciplinary team focused on the dynamic performance of high-tech modules and subsystems. From concept to product, you’ll work on advanced controllers for smart, interconnected systems such as collaborative robots, autonomous vehicles, and agricultural machines.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing advanced controllers, including model predictive, learning, and robust adaptive control algorithms.
• Designing and analysing dynamic systems to meet extreme performance requirements, ensuring optimal resolution and image quality.
• Setting up research projects and tackling challenges in adaptive, robust, and interconnected systems control.
• Modelling modules and systems to predict and optimize dynamic performance.
• Troubleshooting and optimizing system dynamics through advanced modelling techniques.
• Designing, testing, and refining mechanical subsystems for dynamic performance.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, software, and dynamics).

You’ll report directly to the Group Manager of the Mechatronics, Thermal and Dynamics team.

What You Bring

We’re looking for an engineer with:

• A Master’s or PhD in Mechanical or Dynamical Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in developing mechatronic (sub)systems in the high-tech industry, focusing on dynamic performance.
• Expertise in applied mechanics, FEM, and material constitutive behaviour.
• Proficiency with tools like MATLAB, UX, and ANSYS.
• A proactive mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
