Quality Management Engineer Valves

Our client is one of the major oil and gas companies in the world. We are seeking a Quality Management Engineer to join their team in Milan, Italy. This position is primarily remote, but occasional travel to vendors and manufacturers is required. It is a long-term freelance assignment.

Job description

Our client is one of the major oil companies in the world. The goal is to provide and coordinate inspection services to our client’s operations and projects located in work areas in Europe and ensure vendors and manufacturers comply with applicable quality standards in order to deliver zero-defect materials to our client. In this role you are not managing others. You are providing technical expertise. You report to the Quality Management Supervisor.

Key responsibilities

• Review IAP and other inspection document such ITP;
• Review and approve of Inspection Reports;
• Identify, highlight, follow up deviations from requirements or any other quality issue;
• Maintain Communication’s with Customer (Buyer /SAIR) and Supplier (Agencies/Inspectors) as per procedure;
• Perform assessment at manufacturer, attend Pre inspection meeting and critical Inspection steps as required.

 

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Engineering, Technical or closely related field;
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the Oil & Gas industry;
• Specialization in Valves is a must;
• Excellent English skills, both written and verbally.
