Senior Design Engineer
This is an exciting opportunity to join a retail manufacturer - we are looking for an experienced Design Engineer to lead our design team to research and develop new products and systems within the Automation industry.Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Manage and develop the Design Engineering team
- Working in collaboration with our Technical Team to undertake analysis as required on existing products to continuously improve and implement product efficiency, costs, and overall performance of the product.
- Working in a collaborative manner with our Technical and Marketing teams for the ongoing improvement of the product portfolio
- Create factory drawings and instructions for product control along with the training of manufacturing operatives
- Product failure investigations and root cause investigations identifying the correction action required.
Candidate profile:
- Proven experience of a product design environment
- Fluent use of CAD systems
- Ideally people management experience.
