Maintenance Manager - Defense & Technology

Our client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager with a background in managing large-scale military systems and maintenance operations. Do you have the leadership skills, technical expertise, and dedication to ensure the smooth operation of critical defense technology? take on a vital role in managing the modification, maintenance, and repair of Battle Management Systems (BMS) for military applications. Requirements Maintenance Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance center, including repair processes, warehouse management, shipment logistics, and supply chain coordination. Team Leadership: Manage a small team (2-3 technicians), providing direction, guidance, and support for maintenance tasks and ensuring efficient team collaboration. Customer Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact with customers (including the Dutch Ministry of Defense), delivering clear and professional communication regarding technical, financial, and managerial topics. Technical Expertise: Lead efforts in modifying and maintaining Battle Management Systems (BMS), including hardware modifications and military software updates. Provide root cause analysis and troubleshooting when needed. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present technical reports, project updates, and maintenance documentation to internal teams and external customers. Problem Solving: Maintain calm under pressure, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and effectively even in high-stress situations. The Ideal Candidate: Educational Background: You hold a degree in Engineering and have a deep understanding of maintenance operations. Proven Experience: You bring at least 3 years of experience in managing maintenance centers, including repair operations, logistics, and supply chain management. Military Systems Knowledge: You have experience maintaining large military systems, ideally in a defense-related environment. Leadership Skills: You have experience managing and mentoring technical teams, ensuring projects and tasks are completed efficiently. Communication Skills: You are fluent in Dutch and English, with the ability to communicate complex technical, financial, and managerial topics to customers and teams. Customer Service Orientation: You are focused on delivering excellent service to clients, particularly the Dutch Ministry of Defense. Technical Reporting: You have experience preparing and presenting detailed technical reports to customers and stakeholders. Military Experience (Preferred): Experience as a Dutch Army officer or in a technical military role is highly desirable. Calm Under Pressure: You have a calm, composed character and can perform effectively under stressful situations.
