Summer Coach in Alaska

If you are looking to make an impact in our tennis community and want to explore Alaska, we are looking for you! Don’t miss your chance to play and coach tennis under the midnight sun 🙂

The Fairbanks Tennis Association is looking for a visiting summer coach for a small but vibrant tennis community in Alaska’s beautiful interior. 
Schedule is flexible within the summer months of May, June and July. The position could start as early as May 15th if desired. Shorter time frames (4-6 weeks) are also possible. We provide airfare and help with lodging and local transportation.

Venue and Company description

We are non-profit with the mission to provide affordable, high quality tennis programming to the local community. The visiting summer coach could work with some of our experienced high school coaches as well as high school players who can act as assistants to the coach.

We have access to 6 outdoor courts.

Job duties and responsibilities

The coach would work with the summer program committee to develop a full slate of tennis instruction and tournament coordination for players at all ages and levels. We welcome innovative ideas and this would be a good fit for someone who is interested in exploring all that Alaska has to offer in the summer. In addition to a flat monthly salary, the coach can offer private lessons.

Benefits

We offer a flat per-week fee of $1,000 – $2,000 based on experience and program hours.
Airfare to and from Alaska will be provided
Association will help with lodging and local transportation
Private lessons are compensated at a 70/30 split
