Senior Security Researcher

Your role as Senior Researcher DFIRThe Security Research Team focuses on identifying, investigating, and developing solutions for security problems for which current best practices are not sufficient. Our work is focused on improving the maturity and capabilities of various services and products that Fox-IT and NCC Group deliver. We aim to share our research as widely as appropriate to educate fellow colleagues and stimulate external publicity and industry interest. In this role you will be doing the following:· Research and create new capabilities for Fox-IT/NCC Group services, products, or teams;· Bridge the gap between the Security Research- and Threat Intelligence team;· Statically and dynamically analyse malware and adversary tooling and automate these tasks;· Write signatures and improve upon our in-house internet scanning framework;· Write detection logic for our detection platforms;· Provide external publicity (blog posts, trainings, conference talks, open-source contributions);· Review and provide feedback on research and innovation topics, such as reports, blogs, and talks of your colleagues;· Assist in high-profile CERT-cases with your expertise, knowledge, and experience;· Sharing knowledge with colleagues to stimulate maturity, skills, and growth;· Guide interns with their internships and provide new internship projects.Fox-ITWe are Fox-IT, or Fox.
