Teamleader Freight Fowarding

As a Team leader Freight Forwarder, you will be part of our Milano Branch, in the freight forwarding department which is responsible for producing, operating and grow the international road transport in Ewals Cargo Care. You will monitor the business results of department and ensure the budget target, as well as leading, reporting directly to the Branch Manager. You will have 2 direct reports and will be part of an informal team of 12 colleagues.

 

What are you going to do?

• Being responsible of the results of the department, and the achievement of the budget.
• Organize and produce partial and full loads, in the most optimal way.
• Combining transport leads in order to optimize planning.
• Develop new business opportunities.
• Building relationships with internal and external partners and customers.
• Managing and coaching the team and sharing expertise with colleagues.
• Monitoring and driving continuous improvement of operational processes.

 

What are we looking for?

• Pro-active approach and attitude to challenge oneself.
• Capability to combine commercial and productive expertise and eagerness, so as to establish long-term relationship with customer and partners.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Forecasting and planning capacity.
• Knowledge and contacts in the European and Italian transport market to develop new business opportunities.
• Hard worker and team player, able to manage and motivate the team as a leader and to take decisions.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience within a logistic company in the same position.
• Preferred education: technical studies in International Trade, Logistics or similar
• Native Italian, good knowledge of English language and Microsoft Office.
