Senior Software Developer/Software Developer (at the rank of IT Officer/IT Technician) (2 posts) for HCMS Team in the Information Technology Services (Ref.: 524116)We are seeking high-caliber IT talents to join us contributing to the development, enhancement, and maintenance of our cutting-edge Human Capital Management System for providing quality IT services to the University community.The RoleThe appointees will develop and maintain HR related applications and projects on digital transformation. They will collect and analyse user requirements; design, develop and maintain enterprise-based IT systems; coordinate with stakeholders; and perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications and Qualities Applicants should (1) possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline with (2) solid experiences in enterprise application customization, development and support, and system analysis, integration, testing and data analysis; (3) a good command of written and spoken English; and (4) good communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Applicants with good knowledge of and relevant experience in some of the following areas are preferred: Microsoft Power Platform and related technologies, including Power App, Power Pages, Power BI, Power Automate and Power Virtual Agent, Office 365, Teams, SharePoint, Azure and Dataverse, etc.Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS and PeopleTools developmentWeb & app programming (Java Servlet, PHP), web technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, Node.js) and UNIX Shell scriptsDatabase programming such as PL/SQL, JDBC with Oracle databaseSystem integration especially for Oracle PeopleSoft ERP, with REST API, JSON, etc.Software development lifecycle and methodologies Those with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered for appointment as Software Developer.What We OfferThe appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years and commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary.
