TNO Trainee Programme

As a trainee at TNO, you can explore in two years what suits you best. Do you want to try a new field of expertise? You can. Start off as a researcher, then become a project manager, or maybe a consultant? Whatever role you choose, as a time setter at TNO, you work on the challenges of our time.

This is the time for a traineeship

As a trainee:
You work for two years in three different locations. You arrange these locations yourself and you can choose from more than 60 departments within TNO.

You can switch between different roles and areas of expertise - from project manager to consultant, and from sustainability to safety.
You work on your personal and professional development. To do so, we offer a program that includes a coach, peer review and courses. This allows you to discover your talents and ambitions.

You have a full-time position with a good salary and excellent employment benefits.
You have the prospect of a permanent position at TNO.

We operate with state-of-the-art facilities and alongside colleagues who are driven to innovate. You will find experts with various specializations, from defense and security to digital society.

As a trainee, you have freedom. You could, for example, start off on the subject of the healthy living, then work as a project leader in a staff department and end your traineeship as an energy transition consultant.

In short: you can set up your own trainee program based on your talents and ambitions.
