What are you going to do?
As Group Leader Metal Analysis, you provide daily leadership to a team of 15 analysts/laboratory technicians and are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of daily routines. Within this team, sample preparation and measurements are frequently performed on soil, wastewater, and ground samples using advanced equipment such as ICP-OES and ICP-MS. Your tasks will include:

• You are responsible for coordinating work processes to ensure deadlines are met. In this role, you frequently collaborate with other departments.
• As a group leader, you maintain a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and the correct compliance with regulations and guidelines.
• Responsible for the planning, development, and training of employees.
• You initiate improvement projects to optimize processes.
• You report to the production manager of the laboratory.

What do we ask?
For the position of Group Leader Metal Analysis, we are looking for a communicative and stress-resistant candidate with a completed HBO degree in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, or management. Additionally, you bring experience gained within a laboratory, preferably in the field of metal analysis. Furthermore, you should recognize yourself in the following profile:

• You bring at least 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar leadership role, preferably gained within a laboratory.
• You are communicatively skilled and have strong organizational abilities to lead a diverse group of employees.
• As a person, you are driven, solution-oriented, and aim to deliver high-quality results.
• Knowledge of quality standards (ISO-17025) and process optimization is considered an advantage.
• You are knowledgeable in various chemical analysis techniques and sample preparation processes.
• You speak fluent English and Dutch.

3400 - 4000 per month
one-year contract
(40 hours/week)

Via CheckMark een nieuwe uitdaging gevonden in een andere branch, bij Royal Talens in Apeldoorn. Telefonisch een goed eerste gesprek gehad over de vacature, gevolgd door een verdiepende Microsoft Teams-meeting (fijn om elkaar aan te kijken tijdens een gesprek). Uitgebreid gesproken over de vacature, maar ook over wat ik zocht en hoopte te vinden in een nieuwe uitdaging.
