Buyer - Gifting

Job Description For our sourcing team we are looking for a Buyer Gifting. In this role you will source and coordinate the production for our Gifting categories (think about our famous gift boxes, advent calender etc) The buyer’s role is a versatile and exciting position within the Sourcing team. You are responsible for the commercial agreements with our suppliers. You will manage our long-term supplier relationships together with the Category Buyer. You will execute the sourcing strategy and make the right decisions based on your knowledge of the market and deep analysis of the data. You report directly to the Category Buyer and work closely with multiple internal stakeholders: Innovation, Quality, Regulatory, Impact, Supply Planning and Business Improvement teams. Besides internal stakeholders you liaise and negotiate with suppliers and external parties. You are eager to manage existing commercial relationships, negotiating new and existing products and components at the right commercial conditions to secure supply against our high quality levels. You ensure compliance with Rituals sourcing principles and you are able to influence business and challenge business decisions with your commercial and negotiation skills. You are able to keep deadlines, highlight risks & identify opportunities. Key results areas are Ensure compliance of Rituals’ sourcing principles. Negotiate with suppliers on commercial conditions: prepare request for quotation, buy the right product at the right price, commercial terms and formalize the agreements Actively contribute to build and manage successful long-term partnerships with suppliers Manage all administrative activities for your products Initiate and execute saving initiatives Work closely with Innovation, Supply Chain and Quality and act together as a category team to ensure on time product launch and customer satisfaction. Prepare sourcing business cases around our AQSCIS principles. Work on sustainable initiatives together with your product category and your suppliers.   Qualifications High on energy, low on ego and with a of little bit humour. On top of this you have: A higher professional or university level (Bachelor or higher) in the direction of purchasing, business administration, small business & retail management or a higher technical degree; A have a minimum of 3-5 years’ commercial experience in related industries, preferably in procurement of cosmetics ingredients, contract manufacturing or packaging; You can multi-task and have great project management skills; You are a real team-player and problem solver; You are representative, organized, and self-starter; Strong analytical, planning & organizing skills; A strong personality, excellent management, business partnering & communication skills; You are savvy, accurate and persuasive; Fluent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English (Dutch is a plus) It's good to know that we're in the office 80% of the time and working from home 20%. In a full-time contract, that means four days in the office and one day remote. You are keen to be the best in class within your profession.
