H'ART Museum 

We are H'ART Museum, an art museum where famous works of art and stories from all over the world are brought together in unique exhibitions. An iconic building on the Amstel River with a beautiful courtyard garden, a newly renovated restaurant and beautiful spaces available for rent. The restaurant is open daily between 10:00 - 17:00, when the sun shines the kiosk is open in the courtyard, and business events are held throughout the week. 

What do you do as an Operations Manager at the museum?

• You will be responsible for operationally managing the restaurant & event team, the quality and service of the service and meeting the set budgets;
• You will manage a team of 10 permanent staff consisting of; head chef, independent working chefs, two supervisors service and two permanent wait staff, supported by a pool of on-call staff;
• You are the face of the Café Restaurant in the museum;
• You will actively participate, coach and train the cooks and serving staff;
• Together with your team, you will provide an attractive, sustainable assortment for the restaurant & banqueting;
• Together with the Sales & Events team, you will ensure watertight logistics planning to keep the restaurant and events running optimally;
• You will be responsible for cost development and manage labor productivity, gross profit margin and operating profit;
• You will oversee compliance with Occupational Health and Safety, HACCP, social hygiene and safety regulations.

Who are you as Operations Manager?

• You have organizational skills, are a born leader and have the ability to train and motivate staff;
• High level hospitality and/or event industry is familiar territory, you have affinity and professional knowledge of gastronomy;
• You have experience in a leadership role in the hospitality industry and can plan and organize well;
• You are quality-oriented and correct when requirements are not met. You also like to make improvement suggestions;
• Communicatively you are skilful. Both towards personnel and suppliers;
• You have an interest in sustainability and enjoy turning goals into actions.

What does an Operations Manager get?

• Work days are generally Monday through Friday. Working hours are between 08:00 and 23:00;
• Full-time job;
• One-year contract with an effective date by mutual agreement. We prefer January 1, 2025. We intend to have a beautiful and long cooperation with each other;
• Training opportunities, go deep, wide or high in terms of knowledge and ambition. We are here to support you in this;
• You get a 20% staff discount if you stop by for a drink and/or snack;
