The need for effective information security is growing at a fast pace, especially within the banking sector, where there is much to be gained for cyber attackers. For this reason, we are constantly looking for smarter ways to make digital banking as safe as possible. And to make our work as simple and efficient as possible. This is a key capability because there is a lot at stake.
The overall security management process is fundamental for properly supporting and monitoring the organization in this space. We are looking for a domain architect who can help us make the right process choices and technology choices to best support our security management practice. This relates to all governance and advisory processes that our security department delivers, including managing and monitoring the overall security posture of the bank.
Are you a capable IT architect with a passion for information security management? Do you have relevant experience in this space? Then we want you to join our team! We can provide you with excellent opportunities to further develop yourself, in a sector that is part of critical infrastructure, and as part of a large team of great professionals to spar with.
Your primary assignment will be to support the team of current architects in the creation of solution architectures, coach system architects to write these documents (partially), while carefully managing the stakeholder of our identity & access management-related IT landscape. As architects we need to build bridges and connect different views and opinions into one direction. You will work together with many colleagues and teams, as you align business objectives with IT objectives. As a sparring partner you will help the IT Lead, Grid Owner and Product Owner with the right cadres and solutioning.
This is therefore a very challenging function, where we can offer you a high-level of responsibility, autonomy, and both a conceptual and people challenge. A Domain Architect has technical expertise, a long term vision, product knowledge and soft skills. Main goal: simplifying and improving the IT landscape so that ABN AMRO remains secure and future proof. Requirements
You have a good understanding of the overall processes of a security department, and you are a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills. But more importantly, you understand data, automation and designing effective and data-efficient processes that make optimal use of technology and data. You are able to define a vision, roadmaps and a path forward. But you are also able to engage with and activate colleagues to work with you, and you are a very good communicator to 'sell' your plans and retain commitment throughout implementation. You are able to entice colleagues with your ideas. This means you can easily convince people and transpose technical jargon into understandable language effortlessly. But you also have a delivery mindset, preferably based on project management experience. At the end of the day, we expect the delivery of results. You inspire to move forward towards long-term goals but focus on achieving short-term results.

Please check your profile if you believe to be a good fit in the team:
- 10+ years of relevant working experience
- An academic degree in Information Security, IT or Data Science, or similar studies
- Preferably Information Security (IS) professional qualifications such as CISSP, CISA or CISM
- Experience with data and reporting challenges
- Experience with automation and orchestration processes
- Experience with information security management processes
- Experience with project management, and/or other delivery roles
- Good consulting skills, including analysis, design, review, reporting and presentation skills
- Stakeholder management skills, especially in a multi-cultural and international environment
- Core competencies in leading on content and within team, whilst being a team player
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing in English, Dutch being a big plus
