Structural engineer/bridge designer

Ney & Partners is an architecture and engineering firm, leading in the design of bridges, structural works and special constructions. We employ around 120 people working on projects in Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Germany, the UK, France, Japan and Vietnam. For our Delft office, we are looking for a motivated and talented (junior/medior) engineers/designers to join our team!

As a (junior / medior) structural engineer / bridge designer, you play an important role in our bridge projects. You will work as part of a team on all kinds of bridges and other structural works. Under the supervision of a responsible structural engineer, you will work on the various phases of the project and collaborate closely with our architects. Professionally, you will deal with a multitude of technical challenges and perform calculations for various projects within your team. An experienced team in a professional environment is ready to support you and help you grow in your profession.

You will work on structural design and dimension structures in steel, concrete, timber or innovative materials, mastering both design and calculation. You are not afraid of fatigue calculations, dynamic and mobile loads and you find your way around standards. You do this in all phases of a project .

Responsibilities

• You control your own work,
• You have good communication skills and are able to present your idea in writing and in pictures,
• You recognise your own priorities and meet your deadlines,
• You draw up (parts of) the structural report in the various project phases,
• You implement changes to calculation, design and detailing,
