For our client, a FMCG company with a portfolio consisting of beverage brands, we are currently looking for a marketing manager for the development of the opportunity brands within the portfolio.

Description

As the Marketing Manager you will be responsible for driving and leading the performance and the strategy development for the opportunity brands' portfolio. You will drive profitable sustainable growth, lead the team (1.5 direct reports) and develop the talent. It is your job to ensure the strategies are translated into impactful brand strategies and activation, and drive implementation in the markets accordingly. Furthermore you ensure the delivery of in-market results to drive profitable sustainable growth. In this role you will report directly to the Head of Marketing.

Your responsibilities include:

Lead & build the International Portfolio Brands

  • Driving the performance in the different geographic areas, international geographies; actively search for business development opportunities
  • Ensuring clear ways of working within the international framework

Drive and build the strategies for the opportunity Brands

  • Ensuring ambitious and impactful brand strategies in line with the Marketing Planning Process
  • Responsibility for developing the pipeline and launch of new variants and formats within the portfolio brands
  • Playing a key role in the concept development (with the R&D team)

Excellence in Execution

  • Driving the delivery of the brand activations in-market
  • Actively leading and cooperating with our franchise partners to build the brands in the respective market and ensure key metrics in place
  • Providing programs to deliver continuous local consumer insights; to build or course-correct plans and activations
  • Working in close cooperation with the resales teams to drive visibility in-store

Governance - opportunity brands

  • Leading and driving the business relationships forward

Profile


The ideal candidate has:
  • A relevant university degree (mandatory!); Marketing, Business administration or other relevant degree
  • 8-10 years experience in FMCG multinational in the Marketing function (Food & Beverages experience is a plus)
  • Proven experience in working successfully in matrix organizations and for "brand builder "companies
  • Experience in communication development, including digital understanding of Retail & Horeca management including promo policies
  • Good P&L understanding
  • Proven experience with new product Launch and management
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Good knowledge of quantitative & qualitative research and strong analytical skills
  • Very good communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English
  • Strong personality and assertiveness with excellent influencing skills
  • Willingness to frequently travel
