General Ledger Accountant Werving & Selectie X

Are you financially and analytically specialized and would you like to become a permanent employee as a
General Ledger Accountant
at a dynamic, international and listed company? Our client is a leading supplier of technological systems in the region The Hague. You will ensure that all related general ledger accounting activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, in accordance with international company policy, legislation and accounting standards for various entities. You will independently manage small entities and provide important support to larger entities.

What do your tasks and responsibilities look like?

• Monitor and improve general ledger accounts for the assigned entities, including revenue recognition and taxes
• Record manual journal entries
• Prepare or obtain account reconciliations
• Daily processing of bank transactions
• Intercompany transactions
• Prepare annual statutory financial statements
• Prepare tax fillings
• Ensure compliance with intercompany recharging mechanisms
• Financial analyses of the results, budgets, forecasts, profit margins and intercompany recharging machnisms
• Support monthly reviews
• Review monthly reports from external providers
• Ensure a correct use of standard charts of accounts and cost centres
• Maintain reconciliation between IFRS consolidation ledger and local ledger

What do we ask of you?

• As a GL accountant you have completed a HBO or University education in finance and control
• Experience with IFRS and DUTCH-GAAP is an advantage
• About 3 to 5 years relevant work experience in a simular role
• Master the Dutch and English language fluently in oral and writing
• Strong analytical skills
• Communication skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Experience with SAP ERP system
• Experience with deadlines and priorities
• Accuracy
• Being able to function independently
