About the role: Marketplace Manager

The Marketplace Manager role is an exciting position within the digital team to help accelerate our growth via marketplaces across the globe. You will be part of one of the most developed marketplace teams in the Netherlands with tons of Amazon experience.

Together with your marketplace team members, you will be making sure everything is running smoothly and that our commercial targets are met – ensuring double digit growth. Perfect execution is key: all our products are available and have the right price, our listings are optimized for conversion & SEO (text, image, video) and via our operational partner you address issues and safeguard customer questions are answered. For this you will be working in close collaboration with the team as well as the Content and Supply & Demand teams. In addition, the company is undergoing a significant transition as it shifts from a national approach to a more regional strategy, focusing on Northern Europe and the United States. As a Marketplace Manager, you will report directly to the Head of Marketplaces. Since we believe in growing talent, we’ve organized the team in such a way that your next stop should be taking over the role of Head of Marketplaces. The tasks and responsibilities listed:

Setup, manage, and execute the marketplace strategy to achieve optimal revenue and profit targets. You will also have P&L responsibility, overseeing the financial performance of marketplace activities. This allows you to make data-driven decisions to maximize both revenue and profitability, even in a non-managerial role.

Monitor, analyze, and report on marketplace KPIs to provide insights to stakeholders – making sure targets are met. Data is absolutely crucial in this role, and it s essential to leverage it to its full potential. Conduct data deep-dives, identify root cause issues as well as opportunities for optimization.

Develop campaigns for key sales moments such as Amazon Prime.
Monitor account health, performance, and resolve issues that may arise including order fulfillment and customer service.
Keep up to date with seller best practices, tools, technologies, and proactively generate ideas on how to improve performance.
 

What are we looking for in you as a Marketplace Manager?

1 to 5 years of experience in running a marketplace from a P&L perspective, preferably Amazon and/or bol.
Outstanding analytical skills. Accurate and timely data analysis will drive decision-making, help identify trends, and ensure that the right strategies are implemented to meet and exceed commercial goals. Understanding and utilizing data will be at the core of optimizing performance and achieving continuous growth.

You are an organized team player with a growth hacking mindset and strong commercial skills. You are driven by results but also pay enough attention to details. And of course you love the dynamics and variety that comes with a fast-growing company, with a fantastic, young, and energetic team. You have an entrepreneurial mindset and result-oriented approach: you are always looking for ways to take marketplaces to the next level.

A salary dependent on knowledge and experience, up to €65,000 per year.
