Your Role The Lead Electrical Engineer plays a crucial role in multidisciplinary project teams, primarily within the wind energy sector. This position is responsible for delivering high-quality electrical designs within set timeframes and budgets. The role involves coaching, guiding, and managing the electrical engineering team, ensuring seamless collaboration across disciplines, suppliers, and clients. Involvement spans from feasibility studies and initial project phases to complete detailed engineering for EPC contracts. The Lead Electrical Engineer reports directly to the project manager or department manager. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Lead the electrical engineering scope within multidisciplinary project teams. Design & Execution: Develop and deliver high-quality electrical designs within project deadlines and budgets. Team Management: Guide and mentor the engineering team, ensuring alignment with project goals. Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate effectively with other disciplines, suppliers, and clients. Feasibility Studies: Conduct feasibility studies and provide expert advice in early project phases. Detailed Engineering: Oversee detailed engineering processes for EPC contracts. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, design codes, and classification society standards. What they're looking for Education: A Masters or Bachelors degree in a relevant technical field, complemented by professional courses. Experience: At least eight years of relevant work experience, including two years in a leadership role. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles within offshore or wind energy projects. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (spoken and written); Dutch is an advantage. Leadership & Coordination: Strong leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
