Position Purpose & Summary
The prime purpose of the Maintenance Area Supervisor position is to maintain healthy plant assets and equipment capabilities in the respective area of responsibility through leadership of assigned maintenance crew. This will be possible by developing and coaching the maintenance crew and in excellent execution of the work and work process, together with the other Maintenance Area Supervisor and Maintenance Superintendent, and by balancing priorities, tasks and resources. In addition, it is expected that budget is under control, people knowledge at the appropriate level, crew is engaged and Best Practices are applied.Principal Accountabilities
Execution- Responsible for the correct execution of the maintenance jobs according to the workflow
- Responsible for quality, efficiency and commissioning of repair in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for documentation of procedures like work instructions, One Point Lessons, etc. to provide process sustainability and capture maintenance and reliability best practices in the respective area of responsibility
- Supportive in setting and responsible for achieving the maintenance budget and execution of cost control system in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for identifying, removing non-value added activities in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for initiating and implementing value adding activities in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for execution of RCA and 5-why’s on equipment failures in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for the people management including recruiting, retention, development and engagement of the Maintenance Team
- Responsible for engagement of the whole team by evaluating necessary skills and supporting their development through job rotation, execution of trainings matrix, e-PM and follow up of regular communication meetings
- Responsible for compliance with all food safety procedures in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for execution of all legal and Cargill requirements according to the applicable standards and procedures in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for correct implementation of corrective maintenance related actions resulting from internal and/or external food safety, Quality & Regulatory items in the respective area of responsibility
- Supportive in food safety, quality and regulatory impact studies in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for compliance with all EH&S procedures in the respective area of responsibility
- Responsible for follow up on corrective maintenance related actions resulting from internal and external, safety and environmental audits in the respective area of responsibility
- Supportive in environmental, health and safety impact studies in the respective area of responsibility
- Bachelor degree in engineering
- 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance
- 3 years’ experience as a team leader/supervisor in maintenance
- Able to develop others
- Work experience with RCA processes, TPM and Reliability Excellence programs.
- Experience in working with maintenance workflow.
- Basic knowledge of most common PM and PdM technics.
- Knowledge of Dutch Steam Vessel legislation.
- Basic knowledge of:
- Maintaining and improving high speed rotating equipment.
- Maintaining and improving ( agricultural – food solids) transport systems.
- Civil constructions applied in food processing plants.
- Maintaining pressure / vacuum safety release systems.
- Process and utility pipeline design.
- Corrosion detection, protection and prevention systems.
- Materials applied in the agricultural - food industry.
- Dutch and European Electrical Installation Requirements.
- Electrical drives as used in the agricultural and food industry.
- PLC design, installation and maintenance in the agricultural and food industry.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English
