The brands stand for a leading family of products of lighting fixtures for plant growth in greenhouses. Gavita lnternational B.V. is the lnternational Head office in Rozenburg NH, the Netherlands and is part of the Hawthorne Gardening co, North America's largest manufacturer and distributor of hydroponic products. Hawthorne is a subsidiary of Scotts Miracle-Gro (SMG), the world leader in lawn and garden products and services. From the office in Rozenburg the company services all professional horticulture customers around the world.Position
We are looking for a Manager Finance & Control with solid experience in both financial and business control. The Manager Finance & Control will be the right hand to the CFO and play a pivotal role to further strengthen the local finance team that currently exists of two employees and the CFO.Your responsibilities
- Prepare the monthly P&L forecast;
- Prepare the bi-weekly cash forecast to the US Treasury team;
- Preparation of monthly department spend reports (act-bud) and prepare review meetings with budget holders;
- Provide financial insight and support for pricing approvals, revenue analysis and business development initiatives;
- Work on building business cases, financial models, pricing proposals and sales support;
- Assist the sales team with sales & gross margin analyses;
- Managing Supply Chain Finance;
- Business control office Norway;
- Ad-hoc assistance to the CFO;
- Overseeing the monthly close process and close reporting;
- Coordinate the monthly balance sheet account reconciliations;
- Managing the year end external audit;
- IC reconsiliations;
- Payroll accounting;
- Prepare monthly and quarterly tax reporting packages for HQ US.
Experience
- Previous working experience in an international company. Working experience in an US company is a plus;
- In-depth knowledge of both IFRS and US GAAP/NL GAAP;
- SAP experience is a big plus;
- Experience in the agri or horti sector is a big plus;
- SOX Controls (financials reconsiliations);
- CIT Reporting and calculations.
Skills/Qualifications
- Bachelor/Master degree in finance or control or related;
- Action-oriented and high ambition;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Hands-on;
- Excellent communication and people skills;
- Excellent English speaking and writing skills. Dutch speaking is a plus.
