For our client, active in the international datacenter industry, we are looking to recruit a Junior Mechanical Engineer (secondment to staff).

The job:

our client is a fast growing department with a diverse team consisting of engineers with backgrounds from all over the world. As a junior mechanical engineer you will work with a lead engineer on the technical design, factory testing and commissioning. The emphasis is on hardware engineering, mechanical design & integration.

You have a general knowledge of 2D & 3D software (Inventor (preferrable) and/or Solid Works), structural analysis, mechanically welded steel structures, the construction procedures and mechanical standards. Additional knowledge in electrical aspects of LV, MV & transformers is advantageous. In your current job you are used to working in high demanding projects.

Tasks:

o Engineering work in the office/home: Designing distribution systems and coordinating interfaces with your team members;
o Checking technical designs and specifications;
o Picking up technical issues (investigate & advise on layouts, mechanical components, mechanical structure analysis, mechanical and electrical integration, etc);

o Preparing 3D and 2D general arrangements of the modular substations for client reviews;
o (FAT/FWT) Attend and support test work on site and in the factories;
o Plan and oversee the progress of factory operations and resolve technical remaining issues;
o Collaborate with an experienced team of lead, mechanical and electrical engineers.

Requested:

o Completed Bachelor s degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent;
o 2+ years of experience;
o Flexible working attitude, practical and results-oriented;
o Communicative, committed, stress resistant and able to act within a dynamic environment;
o Willing to do short work on location at home and abroad (15% on location);
o Knowledge of the English (Verbal and written) and Dutch language (Beneficial) - In possession of EU passport;
o Driving license is mandatory,
