Stichting atelierWG is seeking a new chair of the board!
Following the departure of Chair Erik van Orsouw and Board Member Antoinette Nausikaä this past summer after five years of valuable contributions, we are looking for a motivated individual to take over the chair’s role.

Lily Lanfermeijer, a member of puntWG and a recent addition to our community, will step into Antoinette’s position.
About the Board
The atelierWG board plays a vital role in keeping our community active, engaged, and visible to a broader audience. This is primarily achieved through our artistic programs at puntWG and airWG:

puntWG: A dynamic space for exhibitions and art projects that hosts work by both community members and external artists.
airWG: An artist-in-residence program hosting creatives from both national and international contexts.
The board works closely with the artistic teams behind these initiatives, supporting them in shaping and maintaining their yearly programs. We also liaise with the HV board to ensure strong connections across the wider atelierWG community.

Chair of the Board Responsibilities
Lead and guide the board, including chairing 4 annual board meetings and dedicating approximately 6 hours monthly to providing advice and oversight.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between the board, artistic teams, and the HV board.
Contribute strategically to securing funding and
ensuring the sustainability of puntWG and airWG programs.
Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking someone who is enthusiastic about community building and the arts, and who embodies the following qualities:
Ideally, someone with an atelier in Pavillion 18 or 19, who understands the unique value of atelierWG and shares its mission.
Affinity for our initiatives and the broader art world, with knowledge of the Amsterdam and Dutch art scenes.
Strong organizational skills and a collaborative personality, essential for working with diverse teams and the HV board.
Confidence with budgeting and developing strategies to support programs in today’s political and cultural climate.
Proficiency in both English and Dutch to ensure inclusive communication across our board and teams.
Ready to contribute a few hours per month to this voluntary role.

Stichting atelierWG is op zoek naar een nieuwe voorzitter!
Na het vertrek van voorzitter Erik van Orsouw en bestuurslid Antoinette Nausikaä afgelopen zomer, na vijf jaar waardevolle bijdragen, zoeken wij een gemotiveerde persoon om de rol van voorzitter over te nemen.

Lily Lanfermeijer, lid van puntWG en recent toegetreden tot onze gemeenschap, zal de positie van Antoinette overnemen.
Over het bestuur
Het bestuur van atelierWG speelt een cruciale rol in het actief, betrokken en zichtbaar houden van onze gemeenschap voor een breder publiek. Dit wordt voornamelijk gerealiseerd via onze artistieke programma’s bij puntWG en airWG:

puntWG: Een dynamische ruimte voor tentoonstellingen en kunstprojecten, waar werk van zowel leden van de gemeenschap als externe kunstenaars wordt getoond.

airWG: Een artist-in-residence-programma voor creatieve talenten uit zowel nationale als internationale context.
Het bestuur werkt nauw samen met de artistieke teams achter deze initiatieven en ondersteunt hen bij het vormgeven en uitvoeren van hun jaarlijkse programma’s. Daarnaast onderhouden we nauwe banden met het HV bestuur om een sterke verbinding binnen de bredere atelierWG-gemeenschap te waarborgen.

Verantwoordelijkheden van de voorzitter
Leidinggeven en het bestuur begeleiden, inclusief het voorzitten van vier jaarlijkse bestuursvergaderingen en het besteden van ongeveer 6 uur per maand aan advies en toezicht.

Communicatie en samenwerking tussen het bestuur, de artistieke teams en het HV-bestuur faciliteren.
Strategisch bijdragen aan het waarborgen van financiering en de duurzaamheid van de
programma’s van puntWG en airWG.

Wij zijn op zoek naar iemand die enthousiast is over gemeenschapsopbouw en kunst, en die de volgende eigenschappen bezit:
Bij voorkeur iemand met een atelier in Paviljoen 18 of 19, die de unieke waarde van atelierWG begrijpt en haar missie deelt.
Affiniteit met onze initiatieven en de bredere kunstwereld, met kennis van de Amsterdamse en Nederlandse kunstscene.
Sterke organisatorische vaardigheden en een samenwerkend karakter, essentieel voor het werken met diverse teams en het HV-bestuur.
Zelfverzekerdheid in budgettering en het ontwikkelen van strategieën ter ondersteuning van programma’s in het huidige politieke en culturele klimaat.

Beheersing van zowel Nederlands als Engels, om inclusieve communicatie binnen ons bestuur en teams te waarborgen.
Bereidheid om enkele uren per maand te investeren in deze vrijwillige rol.
