Contracts manager Brownfield projects

For one of our clients in the Offshore Energy Industry, we are looking for a Contracts Manager.
Our client designs, builds, installs, and operates offshore floating facilities for the offshore energy sector. As a leading technology provider, they leverage their marine expertise to support a responsible energy transition, reducing emissions from fossil fuel production while developing cleaner renewable energy solutions.

Main Responsibilities

Provide contract management support to the Project Manager and the project management team (PMT);
Lead the formation, negotiation, and execution of Enabling Agreements and Work Orders for project work;
Oversee the execution of Work Orders post-gate review approval;
Break down and assess the terms of Enabling Agreements and Work Orders;
Evaluate changes, claims, and delays related to contract terms;
Assist the Project Manager and PMT with intercompany agreements;
Collaborate with Commercial Managers to develop strategies for managing commercial and contractual risks;
Coordinate with the Insurance team regarding event coverage under various policies;
Support supply chain professionals in preparing standard contracting forms for services and goods;
Maintain accurate records for all correspondence, change orders, claims, amendments, and invoicing;
Chair internal and external contractual meetings, documenting discussions and decisions;
Contribute to weekly and monthly reporting, both internally and externally;
Identify and report on risks and opportunities in collaboration with the PMT.

Requirements

Degree or MBA in Business Management, Law, Contract Management, Engineering, or Quantity Surveying;
5-10 years of experience in Contract, Commercial, or Project Management, preferably in the Oil and Gas Offshore industry;
Strong written advocacy skills;
Experience in managing complex contracting relationships and drafting compensation elements;
Familiarity with contract liabilities, indemnities, and corporate structures (e.g., joint ventures);
Experience in negotiating outcomes and claims resolution;
Post-award contract management experience with Lump Sum, Reimbursable, and Remeasurable pricing structures;
Ability to prepare delay and extension of time claims;
Knowledge of HSSE&Q Management Systems/Procedures;
Proficient in P6, SharePoint, MS Visio, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
