De Plesman is based in a historic monument, and is currently transformed into a brand-new lifestyle hospitality concept. All the (
wonderful - if we can say so
) basics are there: an astonishing monumental building, a restaurant, a bar, a gym and meeting rooms. But de Plesman is not your regular hotel, we do things differently around here.

So.. what is different you ask? We are bold. We are looking for someone who wants to evolve hospitality together with us. We believe our team members are at the heart of our hotel and make it such a special place. We can’t do this alone though, and hence we are looking for you to make sure all of our guests leave with a bright smile.

● You don’t consider yourself precious cargo: we leave our pride at the door and are the first ones to raise their hand in order to help each other to get things done. We are a team, every day of the week.

● You are a hundred per cent yourself. You’re fun and kind. You take your job seriously, but yourself not too much. You believe sharing a few laughs goes a long way.

● You are not afraid to make bold choices in order to ensure guests have truly amazing experiences. Making the right decision on the spot comes naturally to you.

● You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and has fun along the way.

What will you be doing?

  • Overseeing the compliance with regulations in the areas of safety, working conditions (Arbo), HACCP, and work and presentation methods.
  • Actively participating with preparing dishes.
  • Guiding new employees and interns/students.
  • Contributing to changes/updates of the menu and the development of recipes, garnishes, etc.
  • Making suggestions to the Head Chef based on daily practice and/or market signals regarding products/dishes as well as work processes.

:
● You have 2 – 4 years of experience in a similar role. You’ll be on top of our list if you gained this experience at a 4/5-star hotel.
● Flexibility to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
● You speak English fluently.
● You preferably live in the vicinity of The Hague.
